Forward Germán Berterame has a verbal agreement to join Inter Miami, in a deal that is practically closed, pending only the usual formalities involved in such transfers.

According to confirmed information, negotiations have progressed positively and there is already a full agreement in principle among all parties to finalize the definitive transfer of the striker currently playing for “Rayados” de Monterrey.

Inter Miami will pay 5 million for Berterame

The MLS club will pay 5 million for 100% of Germán Berterame’s transfer rights, with no loan, no additional clauses, and no future options included in the contract.

Distribution of the transfer fee

The agreed payment will be distributed as follows:

“Rayados” will receive the majority of the revenue, while Grupo Atlético de Madrid will retain the remaining 30%, split between the Spanish club and Atlético de San Luis.

Four-year contract with Inter Miami

The verbal agreement stipulates that Berterame will sign a four-season contract with Inter Miami, where he would share the locker room with figures such as Lionel Messi y Luis Suárez.

Next steps of the signing

Once his current stint with the Mexican national team is over, the forward will travel to the United States to fulfill:

  • Medical examinations
  • Physical tests
  • Signing of the final contract

If no setbacks arise, the official announcement will be made in the coming days.

Germán Berterame’s career path

Germán Berterame began his professional career at San Lorenzo de Almagro, where he made his debut in April 2016 in a Copa Libertadores match against LDU Quito.

Later, he played for Patronato before arriving in Mexican soccer with Atlético de San Luis, where he began to establish himself as a goal scorer.

In 2022, he was signed by Atlético de Madrid, although weeks later he was transferred to “Rayados” de Monterrey, where he had his most productive spell.
