Two individuals have been charged in connection with an alleged kickback scheme involving a condominium in Miami Beach. Authorities say the scheme compromised the interests of condo owners by reversing the intended duties and motivations of a property manager through illicit payments.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office reported that the investigation uncovered multiple financial transactions, including approximately eighteen transfers, with nearly $200,000 allegedly flowing from the condominium association to one of the accused. Of that amount, $66,100 was part of specific traced payments tied to the scheme.

One of the defendants was identified as the property manager of the Euclid East Condominium in Miami Beach. Authorities indicated that this individual made payments totaling around $370,000 to a co-conspirator as part of the alleged fraud. Investigators described the arrangement as a pay-to-play kickback scheme that resulted in the misappropriation of substantial sums of money from the condominium association.

The other person involved in the case is connected to the property’s maintenance operations, and both defendants were taken into custody following the announcement by law enforcement officials. The charges highlight ongoing concerns about fraud and corruption within condominium communities.
