In Miami, where the urban rhythm often prevails even at the seaside, the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne offers a different experience: a leisurely, bright arrival with the ocean as the protagonist from the very first moment.
After a comprehensive $100 million renovation, the iconic hotel reopened its doors on December 8 with a concept that combines sophistication, wellness, and a privileged proximity to the beach, just minutes from the congested downtown and Brickell.

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne gets a multi-million dollar renovation
Llocated at 455 Grand Bay Drive, the resort has 421 completely remodeled rooms and suites. The spaces now feature contemporary furnishings, elegant finishes, and redesigned bathrooms with natural stone, walk-in showers, and deep tubs designed for relaxation.
The most obvious change is visible from the lobby: a new layout allows guests to see the sea as soon as they get out of their cars, reinforcing the feeling of being, quite simply, at the beach.

One of the pillars of this renovation is wellness. The hotel expanded its wellness center to 30,000 square feet, which will be fully operational in early 2026. It will feature 16 treatment rooms, three suites for couples, a beauty salon, and outdoor yoga, stretching, and body sculpting classes facing the ocean. In addition, there will be larger outdoor areas and a terrace with a relaxed atmosphere, equipped with new armchairs designed for long afternoons by the sea.

More than luxury and wellness
The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne occupies 17 acres of the barrier island and offers direct access to 600 feet of beach, as well as hosting the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center, the brand’s largest tennis complex worldwide. Recently updated, it now includes tennis, pickleball, and paddle tennis courts, and maintains its tradition of charity tournaments that have brought together figures such as Venus and Serena Williams and Chris Evert. For families, the renovated Ritz Kids Club adds an interactive offering designed so that little ones can also find their own refuge.
Managed by Gencom, a Miami-based firm specializing in luxury hospitality, the hotel reaffirms its vocation as an elegant and accessible oasis. A place where the sea comes into view from the moment you step inside and where the renovation not only modernizes, but invites you to stay, disconnect, and rediscover Miami from its most serene side.
